Parlo Kitchen was founded in 2020. We are a Caribbean food truck located in Long Island, New York. We were inspired by the rich and diverse culture of the people of the Caribbean. Our Caribbean cuisine includes a range of unique dishes. However, we share similar spices across the diaspora making us one Caribbean. Our love for the Caribbean Spices and encouragement from our new friends in our community motivated us to share our culture through food.

We are a husband-and-wife team who grew up on the small island of Tobago in the beach village of Delaford.   The menu includes dishes from all our neighboring Caribbean islands.  

Our love for island food is expressed in our cooking. Family get togethers was always centered around great food, most of which were cooked over the fireside outdoors. The flavors were immaculate. Our dream was to bring our culture to our new friends and family here in the states.

My Grandmother had a small parlor in the village where she cooked daily and would provide food for people that were in need. The joy, happiness and smiles this brought to many of our neighbors were heartwarming.

The name Parlo was used because it represents memories of happy times. In our small village, my friends and I would greet each other that way. For us it meant friend.
